Human Factors Education

Recognizing the importance of partnership and collaboration in creating safer, more efficient and more enjoyable healthcare experiences, the Healthcare Human Factors group has developed a variety of courses for clinicians, project managers and technical specialists. Each course builds an appreciation of Human Factors science so that problems can be identified and resolved in a collaborative manner. The ultimate goal is to create a cultural shift in the industry, from a culture of blame to identifying the system issues that contribute to sub-optimal processes, environments and tools. Our end vision is a future healthcare system that is informed by human factors principles and methods.
