Ilinca Popovici is a masters of Health Science student in the Clinical Engineering program at the University of Toronto. Under the supervision of Dr. Joe Cafazzo, she is currently researching the IT systems and communication process involved during patient transfer from the ED to internal medicine.

Ilinca graduated with honours from the Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto, specializing in Biomedical Engineering. Her interests include medical equipment design and psychology.
